Purpose of this article
Scaler includes several tools and resources to help you find answers quickly and get support when you need it. You can use the in-platform Lumi assistant, explore the Knowledge Base, or reach out to your support team.
Using Lumi (AI assistant)
Lumi is Scaler's built-in AI assistant. You can open it from the Home page in the left-hand navigation toolbar, or via the Lumi flower icon at the corner of the sidebar from anywhere in the platform. The icon position is configurable — drag it between the bottom-left and bottom-right corners to suit your workflow.
Lumi can:
- Answer questions about portfolio performance, scores, and data
- Run analyses on demand — outlier detection, meter analysis, forecasts
- Suggest CapEx retrofit measures and draft DDQ responses
- Explain Scaler fields, metrics, and platform features
- Link directly to relevant Knowledge Base articles

Tip: Try typing a simple question such as "How do I upload data?" or "What is a portfolio?" Lumi will return short answers or open related articles directly in a sidebar.

Accessing the Knowledge Base
The Scaler Knowledge Base includes detailed articles, screenshots, and video guides. It is the best place to explore platform features in more depth after you have started using them.
You can access the Knowledge Base at any time from the help menu within the platform, or directly at kb.scalerglobal.com.

Key sections include:
- Platform Essentials — introductions, platform orientation, and role-based guides
- Data Collection & Input — guides for uploading, entering, and validating data
- Analytic Tools & Metric Methodology — dashboards and metrics
- Reporting & Other Data Exports — frameworks and other exports
