Open the Custom metrics view
Custom metrics is available in the Analytics Portal.
- Go to the Analytics Portal
- Select the Portfolio view
- Open the Metrics tab
- Choose Custom metrics
You will see a table containing default KPIs across multiple reporting years.
Reorder metrics and years
You can rearrange both metric rows and year columns.
To reorder rows
- Hover over the drag handle next to a metric
- Drag and drop the row into the position you prefer
To reorder years
- Hover over the drag handle in a year column
- Drag the column into the desired order
Use this to match the structure of your internal reporting dashboards.
Add or remove metrics
Remove a metric
- Click the bin icon on a metric row
- The metric disappears from the table
Add a metric
- Click Add row
- Search for the metric you want
- Select it to add it to the table
- Reorder it using drag and drop
All Scaler KPIs are available, including energy, GHG, water, waste, and portfolio overview metrics.
Add reporting years
- Click Add column
- Select an older reporting year
- The year appears as a new column in the table
- Drag it into position if needed
Use this to build long historical trends when preparing analysis or investor reporting.
Create custom tables
You can save your own KPI tables for recurring use.
To create a new table
- Click Add table (or the + icon)
- Choose:
- Default (copy of the standard table), or
- Empty table
- Name the table
- Add and arrange KPIs and years
- The table appears as a separate tab
Your selections are saved automatically.
When you return to Metrics, your custom table remains available.
To delete a custom table
- Open the table
- Use the table settings menu (for example, under Add row)
- Select Remove table
- Confirm deletion
Download a table to Excel
- Click Download
- The file exports in a clean, analysis-ready structure:
- ESG aspect
- KPI name
- Reporting years
Use this in presentations, internal models, or external reporting packs.
Filter your portfolio
Custom metrics supports filtering by attributes such as Country.
- Apply filters in the Metrics view
- The table recalculates to reflect the filtered portfolio scope
Note: Saved filters are not persistent across sessions. Filters reset when you leave the page or refresh. Persistent filter saving may be added in a future update.
