How to Use Fiscal Year View in Portfolio Analytics
You can now switch between Fiscal Year and Calendar Year views for core ESG metrics—Energy, GHG, Water, and Waste—right in your Portfolio Analytics dashboard.
Enable Fiscal Year in 3 Steps:
- Go to: Data Collection Portal → Portfolio → Settings
- Toggle ON: “Enable fiscal year”
- Set the “First month of your interval” to define the start of your fiscal year
⚠️ Note: Once enabled, calculations may take 5–10 minutes before the toggle appears in Portfolio Analytics.
Switch Between Fiscal & Calendar View
After enabling, you’ll see a Fiscal/Calendar switch at the top of the Portfolio Analytics dashboard. This gives you instant control over how your performance data is grouped and displayed.
Fiscal Year Analytics Scope:
This functionality currently applies to:
- Energy Use Intensity
- GHG Emissions Intensity
- Water Use Intensity
- Waste Intensity

- EU Taxonomy
- GRESB
- GRI
- IFRS
- SASB
- SECR
- SDDS
- SFDR
Key Definitions for Analytics:
(Note: Exported data still uses calendar-based numbering—e.g., “01” = January—even if fiscal is enabled.)
- Calendar Year (CY): January to December
- Fiscal Year (FY): Custom 12-month periods (e.g., April to March)
Monthly Example:
- CY: Jan–Dec
- FY: Based on your selected start month (e.g., Oct–Sept)
Quarterly Example:
- CY Q1 = Jan–Mar | FY Q1 = e.g., Oct–Dec (if FY starts in Oct)
