Purpose of this article
Get one asset into Scaler with the fields it needs to start calculating. For asset groups, bulk upload, and GRESB shell assets, see the full guide linked below.
Before you start
- Access level: any data-entry role.
- Confirm the asset unit system (metric or imperial) before entering floor area. Scaler does not convert it, it reinterprets the number.
Add an asset
- Go to Data Collection Portal → Portfolio → Asset List.
- Click Add asset.
- Fill the core fields:
NameCountryProperty typeand subtypeGross floor area
- Save.
Your asset now appears in the Asset List, ready for meters and consumption.
Note: Property type and country drive benchmarking and emission factors, so set them correctly now.
