Purpose of this article
This article explains what an admin can manage in company settings, and points you to the settings that live elsewhere.
Before you start
- Access level: Admin only. Members and other roles do not see company settings.
- Company settings sit above your portfolios. They control visibility and availability at the company level. They do not override portfolio or asset configuration.
Where to find company settings
In the Data Collection Portal, switch to the company level using the global header, then open Settings. Company settings are visible only to admins.

What you can manage
- Company name and details — the company profile shown across the platform.
- Company currency — the currency used for company-level reports.
- Company-level reporting access — whether company-level reports are available.
- User and portfolio overview — see all users and portfolios in one place.
- External consultant access — manage consultants from the
Consultantstab.
- Company-level reports — generate reports that aggregate across portfolios.
Company vs portfolio currency
The company currency (Settings → General) is used for company-level reports, which aggregate across portfolios. Each portfolio also sets its own portfolio currency in Portfolio Settings, which applies to financial fields such as gross asset value and market value. See Understanding units and currencies in Scaler for how currencies are handled.
