Due diligence webinar — July 2026

On-demand recap of the July 2026 due diligence webinar — screen acquisitions in minutes, generate due diligence reports, and model scenarios. Chapter timestamps included.

Recorded: 16 July 2026 · ~30 minutes · Luc van de Boom

What this webinar covers

A ~30-minute demo of Scaler's due diligence features for assessing sustainability risk before you acquire, exit, or sell an asset. Luc van de Boom walks through why traditional sustainability due diligence is slow, fragmented, and expensive, then shows how Scaler compresses a pre-acquisition screening from weeks to minutes: adding an acquisition with limited data, AI-estimated energy profiles, the generated due diligence report with CRREM alignment and suggested measures, and how acquisitions feed into roadmap scenarios and, once acquired, into portfolio reporting. The session was demoed in a test environment that includes the Improve section and several features being rolled out to client environments — contact your Account Operations contact to have them activated. It is aimed at fund and asset managers evaluating acquisitions and exits.

Key takeaways

  • Pre-acquisition screening takes minutes rather than weeks. Add an acquisition with as little as a location and floor area, ask Scaler AI to estimate the energy profile (or supply known details like heating type), and a due diligence report is generated instantly. Every extra field sharpens the estimates.
  • The due diligence report translates estimates into CRREM alignment and negotiation material. It converts the estimated energy consumption into GHG emissions, shows the misalignment year against your selected pathway, and proposes measures to bring the asset back in line — exportable to PDF for sharing outside your organisation or with the IC.
  • Uploaded documents enrich the assessment. Any PDF — an energy label, technical due diligence, or building assessment — can be uploaded and Scaler extracts the relevant information into the report automatically.
  • Every asset gets a misalignment year, and measures move it. The energy and GHG roadmap views list each asset's intensity, data coverage, and the year it falls off the pathway; adding CapEx measures immediately recalculates the misalignment year, and Lumi can suggest the highest-impact measure per asset.
  • Acquisitions plug into scenarios, and Lumi can build the strategy. Include or exclude acquisitions and measures per scenario, or give Lumi a goal — for example CRREM-aligned by 2040, optimised for ROI — and it proposes a measure set with a confidence rating.
  • Acquired assets convert straight into the portfolio. Once a deal closes, convert the asset so it flows into GRESB, GRI, and GHG Protocol reporting — replacing estimates with actual data as it comes in.
